Have a nice winning cup of Black Coffee

Today's racing a right good mixture. Favourites overturned as more unexposed sorts and out of form trainers stole the show. Tom George had a cross the card treble after a shocking winless run strecthing back two months. One of his winners was my only winning selection, Laneguy who fairly dotted up at 9/2. The Cockney Mackem, Molly Round, Calusa Shadow and Postman were all placed but no more winners.
Ride(s) of the Day went to Kelly Harrison and Denis O'Regan for their rides on John Potts and Henry King respectively. John Potts made a sweeping run around the outside on the home turn and swept through to win at 2/1 (well done Jack!). Henry King made all to win the Taunton opener under what I thought was a textbook ride from the front, getting a real good tune out of this grey. Both can be seen on Attheraces.
Tomorrow sees the return of Ruby Walsh at Newbury for one ride, but these are my selections in time order: Hypnotic Gaze (2.45 Doncaster), Dixie Bull (2.55 Newbury), National Hope (4.20 Lingfield), Balerina (4.30 Doncaster), Darkness (5.15 Newbury), Yankee Storm (5.25 Lingfield), Trojan Gift e/w (6.15 Wolverhampton) and Black Coffee (7.45 Wolverhampton)
I am very confident of more than one winner tomorrow. Hypnotic Gaze can get us off to a good start at Donny. The Baker's National Hope is bound to run well at Lingfield as will Yankee Storm. The two at Wolverhampton will both run very well.
The Jump's nap is Hypnotic Gaze. The overall nap is Trojan Gift, e/w at least

Good  Luck

  1. Hey Will, well its not very often that Sam Waley lets me down and even rarer for the magnificent Ruby to let me down so I'm on him today as my nap. Completely uninterested in Jason Maguire getting a days reduction to his ban - totally irrelevant because he can only finish second at best in the Champion Hurdle ! Menorah is the boy and I can't wait. Love Mum XX

  2. Now then Will, what's with this overall nap on an e/w basis? If it's not a win selection can it really be your best fancy of the day?
Hypnotic Gaze certainly looks interesting at a decent price, but it's quite a hot claimer and I wouldn't be surprised to see King's Counsel do the business for Mr O'Meara.
Cranky Corner is my nap in the hope that chasing will be his game.
After the sudden return to form of the George yard, Gentle Bob could be an attractive each-way bet in the 4.40 at highly-charged (sorry!) Newbury. Couln't nap it though as it's only an each-way selection!
    Keep smiling Matey!

  3. Silly old man! Bottled an each-way bet on Hypnotic Gaze. Could have had the forecast too!
    Well done matey, top tipping!

  4. Hi
I see that Hypnotic Gaze won at 7/1! Great picking.
Today I was quite intrigued by Ruby Walsh's comeback ride on Don't Turn Bach as the class has some ability and Ruby is a top class jockey.
But, my nap today is Babe Heffron in the 3.30 at Newbury as Tom George is in good nick after having three great winners and Sam Jones is a good young jockey but slightly worried about Baseball Ted as he is getting less weight and has good credentials of getting a place finish today.
Good luck with your later selections today!
