A Winner would be Just The Job!

Yesterdays action provided us with some tough and nice performances. Sire De Grugy slaughtered his rivals at Kempton in the Dovecote Novice Hurdle, shame he isn't entered at Cheltenham. Quinz won in taking style in the Racing Post Chase, fending off Mount Oscar after the last. Captain Chris capped a good day for the Hobbs team with his best jumping performance to date in my view. Companero slogged through the atrocious conditions at Newcastle to make all to win the Eider Chase. Only 3 finished, including my selection Morgan Be, who was 3rd.
On my selections, Even Bolder had the wrong type of jockey on in Kieran Fox, the horse recieved plenty of left hand reminders which made him hang and he clipped the rail coming down the hill. Sagalyrique ran well for a long way but couldn't cope with the pace. County Zen ran a mare of a race which was quite odd and Qrackers was a N/R. But at Newcastle, we did really quite well. Categorical finished a good second to Gansey, who has definitely improved through the season. Best Prospect very nearly won at a really mega price, 16/1, just failing to reel in Reindeer Dippin. And my jumps nap The Tracey Shuffle won the finale at 6/5F.
Ride of the day was Joe Tizzard aboard Coup Royale at Kempton (4.40). A very clever, quiet and well performed ride on a horse who clear had more ability than the race he was in. You can watch it using the following link : http://horses.sportinglife.com/Video/Racing/.
To todays action, and I am going to Towcester today with family so hopefully I can do well enough. I haven't got all my selections at Towcester as you can see:  As De Fer (2.40 Fontwell), Rateable Value (3.10 Fontwell), Karabak (3.45 Fontwell), Just The Job (4.45 Fontwell), Ultravox e/w (2.30 Towcester), Miss Fleur (4.35 Towcester)

Main selections are Miss Fleur and the nap Just The Job

Good Luck
