Not one but two 66/1 winners!

Todays racing was as wide open as I thought with two 66/1 winners. As my selections don't need mentioning, the ride of the day does, Henry Brooke for his ride on one of the 66/1 winners, the 14 year old Amjad. He was riding his mount for virtually a circuit of Sedgefield and he held off Classic Henri. He is definitely worth his claim and another top young jockey.
Tomorrow sees the return of Newton Abbot after a six month break. These are my selections in time order: Alla Svelta (2.00 Newton Abbot), Cruise Control (3.05 Newton Abbot), High Jack (3.25 Ffos Las), Twin Sound (3.50 Lingfield), Troubletimestwo e/w (4.00 Ffos Las), Louis Pasteur (5.20 Newton Abbot) and Cape Melody (5.30 Lingfield).
The main selections are Alla Svelta, who has good form and experience on his side, Cruise Control, not knocked about at all in handicap hurdles to date and has Daryl Jacob aboard this time, Louis Pasteur who was hopelessly unlucky last time and Cape Melody for the in form Baker yard at Lingy. Also, Troubletimestwo is back on a left handed track for the first time in a while and is overpriced. You have been warned.
The Jumps nap is Louis Pasteur and Cape Melody overall

Good Luck

  1. Nightmare - just put together a long post and it failed to send!
Anyway, not looked at Monday's cards yet so here's one a day for the Festival instead:-

    Summery Justice (Stewart Family Chase)
    Paintball (Fred Winter)
    Barafundle (Pertemps)
    Ski Sunday (County Hurdle)

    Also watch out for:-

Call The Police (Coral Cup or M Pipe race) - big Irish fancy
Aerial (Centenary or Byrne Plate) - a dark one from the Nicholls yard
Sona Sasta (NH Chase) - must go close
Finian's Rainbow (Arkle) - potential superstar.

Good luck with the Monday selections

    Big Nose
